When New York suddenly feels too concrete, too plastic, I think myself back to Cornwall just up from Loe Bar, big sea, big space, all enveloping nature, not nurtured, not combed or otherwise designed. New York is after all, magnificent, but it is designed - on a large scale and vehemently New York and all that, but sometimes just knowing that Loe Bar is there, peaceful and savage at the same time is enough.
